Fur, Leather and Denim: OH MY!

As a full-time trendsetter, fall is my most stylish and favorite season. What I love most about fall is the number of fashionable looks that can be created by adding layers and nice pair of boots to the mix. Here are the top 3 fabrics I gravitate toward when updating my fall wardrobe.

#1 Denim

A good denim jacket and some dark blue jeans are a MUST HAVE for me during fall. Denim is one staple fabric that is comfortable to wear, versatile and can elevate a basic outfit in seconds. In my closet, I have 2 go-to denim jackets for the season one is a faded blue denim jacket that I bought a few years ago with the word "Flawless" on the back. The other one is my boyfriend's jacket that I always borrow to jazz up my sweatpants and hoodie look. His denim jacket is that medium shade of blue that just screams fall.

TIP: Your BF/GF jacket is the best type of jacket to have. Trust Me.

#2 Leather

I love a good faux leather jacket that can make me feel like THAT GIRL. I chose faux leather because I try to live a sustainable lifestyle. Plenty of good-quality faux leathers perform and look like the real thing. This fabric can be found in so many types of garments and accessories. I gravitate towards faux leather jackets, handbags, and my all-time favorite thigh-high boots when shopping. For me, it gives me that sleek and sexy grown woman look.

TIP: Try styling your favorite graphic tee shirt with a leather jacket or pants for an instantly elevated trendsetter look.

#3 Fur

I go towards faux fur when I'm feeling a tad bit bougie or glamorous than usual. I missed early 2000 when we had icons like Kimora Lee Simmons, who was the epitome of glamorous, rocking her various fur coats. Fur is that fabric that makes you feel excellent and luxurious. I start pulling out my faux fur coats and jackets towards November. I love a good faux fur coat with a nice cool lining inside and deep pockets on the outside. I tend to gravitate to coats that hit right at my knee or a bit longer. Fur outerwear comes in a variety of colors and styles. My favorite color for faux fur is pitch black, light pink, and marigold yellow.

TIP: If you feel like having a full fur coat is too much, try shopping for outerwear that has a fur trim or uses fur as an accent.
